Sterile Technique & Aseptic Practices

This course provides registered nurses with an in-depth review of sterile technique and aseptic practices essential for preventing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Learners will review the principles of surgical asepsis, sterile field maintenance, aseptic handling of equipment, and infection prevention strategies used in clinical practice. Emphasis is placed on real-world application across multiple care settings, common breaches in sterile technique, and evidence-based best practices aligned with CDC, WHO, and AORN guidelines.
