Drug Interactions and Polypharmacy in Geriatrics

This asynchronous, self-paced continuing education course is designed for Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to enhance clinical competency in identifying, preventing, and managing drug interactions and polypharmacy in older adults. The course explores age-related pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic changes, high-risk medications, prescribing cascades, and evidence-based deprescribing strategies. Learners will apply clinical reasoning through case-based scenarios and align practice with current guidelines such as Beers Criteria and STOPP/START.
