CAUTI Prevention

Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTIs) remain among the most common healthcare-associated infections in acute and long-term care settings. This course provides nurses with evidence-based strategies to prevent CAUTIs through appropriate catheter use, aseptic insertion technique, maintenance protocols, early removal practices, and patient education. Participants will review current CDC and evidence-based guidelines, examine risk factors, and apply prevention strategies to clinical scenarios.
