Anesthetic Agents and Pain Medication

This course provides registered nurses with an in-depth understanding of anesthetic agents and pain medications across clinical settings. It explores pharmacologic principles, mechanisms of action, indications, contraindications, and nursing considerations for both anesthetics and analgesics. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, monitoring, dosage considerations, adverse effects, and evidence-based pain management strategies. Learners will strengthen clinical judgment in administering, monitoring, and evaluating therapeutic outcomes in diverse patient populations.
